In this page, Srutio, we, us and our mean Srutio Media And Software, and the site means srutio.com. A Data Fiduciary is the person who decides why and how personal data is handled, and a Data Principal is the person to whom the data relates.
1. Why This Page Exists
1.1 Rule 5 of the Information Technology Rules, 2011 requires a body corporate that handles personal information to designate a Grievance Officer, publish the officer’s contact details on its website and redress a grievance within one month. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 will require a Data Fiduciary, from 13 May 2027, to publish the contact details of a person who can answer a Data Principal’s questions and to provide a way to raise a grievance. Srutio publishes the details of its Grievance Officer, and describes its process, on this page.

6.3 Srutio may refuse a request in whole or in part where the law requires or allows it, for example where it must keep a record for tax reasons or to deal with a legal claim. Srutio says why when it does.

7.1 If Srutio does not resolve your grievance, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 allows a complaint to be made to it. For a consumer matter, you may approach a consumer commission that has jurisdiction under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
8. Misuse of This Process
8.1 Please raise a grievance in good faith. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 will ask a Data Principal, from the date its provisions take effect, not to file a false or frivolous grievance or complaint, and it provides a penalty for doing so.
